Iron, sulfur, manganese all cause staining and odor issues. All of these problems can be eliminated with Oceanic Water System's Air Injection System (AIO). 

Using the principle of oxidation the system forces the contaminates into contact with oxygen. Most older air injection systems consist of either two separate tanks or by using a Venturi valve to inject air into the water. cleaned and/or replaced. By utilizing a patented piston our Air Injection system is able to put the whole oxidation process inside one tank keeping maintenance costs and down time to a minimum. This is done by creating a bubble of pressurized air at the top of the tank (done during the backwash cycle). The air in the tank then oxidized the contaminates with the media trapping them. Then every few days the system automatically backwashes itself rinsing the contaminates off of the media and replenishing the air bubble. 

This system is chemical free and is able to remove higher contaminate levels than most other tank systems on the market. Using an iron trapping media combined with air injection you remove the most iron sulfur and manganese problems without worrying about dangerous chemicals.
