AIO Air Injection Oxidizing Water Filter System 12" x 52"- Iron, Sulfur, and Manganese Removal | Fleck 2510SXT

Product Review (submitted on September 12, 2019):

I researched a number of units before purchasing this one. From a Culligan man analyses of our cabin's well water, we knew the iron content was very high. We were told the sulfur content was very low. You could taste the iron in the water, but we were unsure of where the smell was coming from. I read something about bacteria (or something like that) living in high iron water and when it dies, it decomposes and creates the smell. We weren't sure, but we are do it your selfers and decided to take a chance (vs paying culligan every month). We could not be happier the unit. The smell is completely gone and the taste is all but very faint. You can still identify the well water (vs bottled) despite the filtering (particulate filter, then this iron filter, then softener), but it is significantly better. Highly recommend if you have high iron. One minor issues was a small leak in a fitting where the water enters and exits. There is an injection mold piece that had some minor parting lines (raised plastic where the mold halves come together) that caused a little leak. I had to trim them ever so slightly. Once I did this and add some Vaseline jelly, the leak stopped. One other thing to be mindful of is the unit must regenerate every 3 days to blow down the accumulated iron. You can not change the frequency or time. It defaults to some early hour in the morning. We purposely changed the normal time to force the unit to regen during the day, when we are not sleeping (to avoid the noise from regen). Enjoy.
